The Beginning
Megan and I have known each other for a few years through various dog-training and dog-photo-taking related activities, including the annual Glens Falls Pet Fest in Glens Falls, NY. Her dog, Nash, is the most photogenic dog I've ever known. If you scroll through my Instagram page long enough, you'll spot him several times. Donnie and I go way back to my days working at the Glens Falls Civic Center (now the Cool Insuring Arena) for various hockey teams as In-Arena Host.
Because of our mutual love for dogs and dog training, I was thrilled when Megan inquired about one of our wedding packages that included a complimentary engagement session. This time of year is popular for engagement sessions, but winter engagements can be absolutely stunning...albeit a little chillier.
The Wedding
Megan & Donnie got married at one of the area's newest and most beautiful wedding venues, Country Meadows Barn. They had hired the complete Jason Checkla Photography team, including Stephanie and Jason to capture their day from start to finish and we're grateful to have had the opportunity to photograph such a picturesque, magazine-worthy affair. The "First" Look
After Donnie had pranked Megan during her bachelorette party, she'd coordinated with their good family friend, 'Wendell', to hop into a wedding dress and trick Donnie into believing he was about to see his beautiful bride for the first time. Donnie anxiously turned around to see "Megan" and his reaction was priceless. A prank well executed by all...especially Wendell.
